Sunday River Jordan 8 Lift Installation, Sunday River, Newry ME

In 2022, Fall Line Construction was selected by Dopplemayr USA as the site contractor for the installation of the Jordan 8, North America’s fastest 8-person chairlift, at Sunday River Resort. FLC transported lift components from the staging and assembly area in South Ridge Lot 5 to the summit of Jordan Bowl, completing a demanding two-hour round trip. Excavation for the Jordan 8 lift line tower foundations took place in one of the most challenging locations on the mountain. Weeks of close coordination with blasting specialists were required to remove ledge rock and achieve precise subgrade elevations for safe and stable foundation construction.

Sunday River Barker 6 Lift Installation, Sunday River, Newry ME

In 2023, Fall Line Construction returned to Sunday River for the installation of the Barker 6, Dopplemayr’s second D-Line bubble lift at the resort. FLC moved lift components from South Ridge Lot 5 to Barker Summit. The widening of the Agony trail eased foundation excavation, but steep grades still posed considerable challenges. The project encompassed material transport on steep mountain terrain, foundation excavation, electrical and communication trenching, backfill, compaction, slope stabilization, and site restoration with erosion control.
